A qTUS certificate stands as a guarantee of quality, certifying that a veterinarian is able to reliably use the diagnostic tool. In the framework of rationalising antimicrobial use and better animal welfare, knowing your performance as an applicant is crucial for you or the label you work for.

The qTUS certificate

After completing the test, the qTUS certificate stands as a guarantee of quality. This certificate not only provides you with an estimate of your performance compared to an expert operator, but can be used to validate your skillset. Based on diagnostic performance, participants can either receive a Golden, Silver or Bronze certificate. In a world changing towards more sustainable farming, your certificate proves your ability to reliably diagnose pneumonia in calves, and use antimicrobials in the most responsible way we currently can.

  • With both sensitivity and specificity above 90%, gold operators are the top of the class. With this certificate, you can confidently start applying qTUS on your farms, opening the door towards sustainable BRD management.

  • Silver operators tackle problems head on, not backing down until they are solved. With a sensitivity and specificity between 75 - 90%, they sure know what they are doing. Their hands on approach might still lead to an occasional misdiagnosis, but their performance is much higher than can ever be achieved by any other on-farm diagnostics.

  • You secured a spot on the podium! Bronze operators outclass the average veterinarian, but can get carried away sometimes. With a sensitivity and specificity between 60-75%, some extra training can help you avoid false positive and false negative results.

You did not end up on the stage?Don’t worry!

The qTUS team is happy to organize additional training en certification moments to support you towards a confident diagnosis.
